Born on a farm on the Darling Downs.
Went to a boarding school and played cricket, rugby and tennis.
Attended university and completed an IT degree.
First job was in Melbourne; second and third jobs in Brisbane.
Started our own business, sold it after 20 years and retired 12 years ago.
Lived on acreage for 33 years, with dogs and cats.
Now live on the Gold Coast.
Interests include travel (domestic and international), photography (seascape and scenery) and investments (property and shares).
Kept busy with two children, their partners and four grandchildren.
