More information about this house sitter
Everyone calls me Happy, you might be able to guess why. We are a family of 3, my husband Lee, our 4yr old son Maui, and myself. Sometimes we travel all 3 together but more often it's just my son and I. My husband works at Sydney Airport and I have been running a successful multi-award winning pet sitting business for the past 7 years. We own our very comfortable home, right by Illawarra Lake on the beautiful South Coast of NSW and we have 2 dogs (a Dobermann and a GSDxHusky) and a cat. My business requires a lot of my time, but when I go away, I manage my team remotely. I started off working as a Vet Nurse, and I have maintained my Pet First Aid & CPR qualifications, renewing every few years. So I am able to medicate and care for pets who might need pills, or injections. I also worked at the Australian Quarantine for many years. These jobs meant often handling pets in stressful situations, so I learnt many useful skills in winning pets over to make them feel safe and secure in my company. We have plenty of experience doing this, please feel welcome to check out my referrals. My young son has been accompanying me on jobs since he was 2 months old. He is very good and accustomed to being around new pets and entering new homes and is a very calm and pleasant child. Because of his young age and size, we are currently only accepting House/Pet Sit bookings in small/medium pet homes that are child friendly. This is just to be extra safe as often we are travelling great distances to meet the pet/s we care for for the first time. We offer our services to you for free in exchange for accommodation and use of your car while you are away. We prefer a home with pets we can leave alone during the day (if required) so that we might be able to get out and explore (usually between 9am - 4pm or less). But we would happily include your pet in day outings too, if that is something your pet enjoys . We look forward to making your critters happy. Read more...
