Hi!

We're a married couple who will be in between homes shortly and would love to care for your home and pets. We’ve both owned our own home and are very tidy, non-smoking and house-proud individuals.

Over the last 15 years I've house sat for friends, friends of friends and farming neighbours, looking after a range of dogs (excitable and the sick), cats, cockatiels, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, alpacas and cows. I’ve nursed a very very special 15 yo blue heeler cross with leukemia for several months, taking her to the vets, feeding her tablets, talking with her and keeping her warm and comfortable. I’ll wash your dog/s and I’m also familiar in giving worming tablets, sprays or ointments, ear drops for infections, and treating fly strike with the help of vets. I’ve ‘dusted’ to prevent fleas in my 36 chickens but this was well before SARS so treatments may have changed and if your chickens and other pets have any specific needs just let me know.

We make a point of sending daily or regular photos of your fur babies as you wish. Needless to say, I do love fur cuddles and fresh eggs. I’m also quite happy to potter around in your garden, having grown and maintained veggie patches of my own.

We both currently work in the Commonwealth and ACT public service, as an economist/evaluator and a radiation therapist respectively, and have undergone the necessary police checks.
