We are a middle aged, highly responsible, non smoking couple who love animals, the garden and the outdoors. My husband is extremely practical and can fix/maintain anything!

We would be an ideal choice because first and foremost we are house owners ourselves and have a great respect for other people's property, especially when entrusted to it as a caretaker. We are Zimbabwean and our two children aged 26 and 24 are both in Australia. The reason we have come to Australia is that we feel we would like to be a bit closer to our kids and see them more often and so we are here in Australia to do this but are greatly limited by funds and feel that house sitting is the perfect way for us to achieve our goals.I am a qualified Financial Advisor but can literally do anything in the Commerce and Industry area. My husband, Nigel is seriously a Jack of all trades. He can manage, he can do physical work, start and complete projects, tackle figures or simply mow the lawn. We love gardening and have a swimming pool at our own house in Harare so we are conversant with pools too. We love animals and have two dogs and a cat ourselves so are well versed in animal care...oh I forgot we also have chickens! Our main motivation to house sit is to be able to have a roof over our heads that will not cost us an arm and a leg, while we settle ourselves in Australia. We also want to be closer to our children and be able to watch them play sport and generally be more a part of their lives while we can.

Between my husband and I we have been formally employed, run our own businesses, been in our own home for the past 27 years and my husband maintains our house and the whole property. He saves us a fortune! This care and attention that we bring to our own house and possessions will be extended to any house that we may have the privilege to take care of in the future. Read more...
