I am a semi-retired accountant and registered company auditor though I still assist with some year end work for a Sydney firm of chartered accountants.
My wife studied business and tourism and opened her own travel agency. She is also a keen cook.
I have had dogs and/or cats in my family for most of my life. Having dogs and cats has been a positive influence on my life and also a positive influence on the lives of my children.
I have owned my own 5 acre property maintaining undulating grassy areas using both a tractor style and a zero turn mower. I opened up part of my land to about 5 families from the local town for us all to cooperate and grow our own fresh vegetables and herbs.
I have looked after friend's properties to care for their dogs, cats, chickens and even for a short period milking a cow by hand. My wife and I are happy to do light garden maintenance and I also have experience in looking after homes with swimming pools.
I can check oil levels and fuel but I am not a mechanic. I know when it is better to call a qualified plumber, electrician or mechanic rather than tinker at something myself.
My wife and I do not smoke. We both enjoy exercise and are keen to look after our health and fitness.
We own our own beach-side property which is available for long and short term holiday rental. This gives us the opportunity to travel, make new friends and discover other beautiful parts of Australia.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions activities have been suspended but, in the past, we have been active with Student Volunteer Placements International. This is an Australian organisation working in Nepal and Cambodia. Our role was to help coordinate programmes and accompany students to remote Cambodian villages to promote health education and health screening.
