We are retired after 40+ years in Education. We are currently building a house in the Adelaide Hills and initially we lived in our caravan. We use both Aussie House Sitters and Mindahome to experience a variety of house/farm opportunities. We have sold our van and the issue of needing space for it has been eliminated.

Our 12 month build has turned into a 2 year adventure and since discovering House Sitting we are enjoying it for what it is. Many of our reviews can be found on Aussie House Sitters as we started off on that site and joined Mindahome early this year.

Previous experiences have proven our ability to be responsible house sitters whilst caring for a variety of animals in many different circumstances.

We have proven competency in farm sitting encompassing managing stock, feeding out, moving stock as required, checking water, overseeing electric fencing, managing medications for animals and addressing problems as they arise. We are familiar with the operation of tractors and quad bikes. We are comfortable with anything from bulls to newborns, pets of any description and we will consider Adelaide Hills or suburban.

We care for family pets as if they are our own. We endeavour to maintain the same household routine to ensure the comfort of the pets. We are generally home bodies. We are keen gardeners and willing to manage the required maintenance.

Nothing is too much trouble and we are there to help. We are particularly keen to be easily accessible to Aldgate to monitor our building progress. Read more...
