We are available for house sitting your property.

We are experienced, mature & very capable house sitters, having completed the following successful house sits over many years.

1. Nerang, Queensland, suburban house, swimming
pool & gardens.

2. Victoria Point Queensland, suburban house, dog,
cat & 2 birds, swimming pool, gardens & pot plants.

3. Three separate long sits in Glendowie, Auckland,
New Zealand, with pets & gardens to maintain.

4. A farm sit near Te Kauwhata, New Zealand, caring
for & maintaining the animals & property.
(Same owner as the house in Glendowie)

5. A long housesit in Remuera, Auckland New Zealand
caring for gardens, yard, large swimming pool &
spa.

6. Apartment sit in Newmarket, Auckland, New
Zealand.

7. A long housesitting role in Johannesburg, in Sth
Africa, including care & maintenance of large
property.

This is a total of 9 previous housesits all told, (not inclusive of a 3 week privately arranged sit in Kobe, Japan & a month long privately arranged farm sit in Zambia, Sth Africa).

Our most recent placement, in 2019, was in Auckland NZ, for 4 months, when the home owner (with whom we had completed 3 previous sits for, including the farm sit) travelled to Europe.

Our responsibilities on that occasion were to care for the home, grounds, gardens & a small dog & cat.

When the home owner returned, (whom we had got to know from the previous house sits & farm sit) she was once again, very appreciative & pleased with the way we had cared for her house & her much cherished dog and cat.

We are personable, practical, resourceful & caring professionals, having worked, lived in, & with, urban, rural & developing nation communities and organizations as International Volunteers in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and also have lived in Japan, South Africa & Zambia.

We were employed in demanding positions with many responsibilities which required multiple checks from government agencies and references, police checks, & Bluecards.

We have both also worked in the Corrections systems in both New Zealand & Queensland and Marg has worked as a social worker in domestic violence, so we have been thoroughly vetted and have proven to all Employers, Volunteer Agencies & Property Owners, as house sitters, that we are both extremely trustworthy and reliable.

We have raised 5 adult children & have 12 grandchildren.

We are non smokers who will show respect & care for your home, gardens & pets as you require.

We own our home and have an 8 yr old pet dog, Leyla, a very calm, submissive & obedient mastiff/ridgeback cross, who was rescued from maltreatment.

We both enjoy working on our property, maintaining vegetable, flower gardens & lawns, resulting in a tidy property, so we can take great care of your home, grounds & pets(s) as needed, to earn your absolute satisfaction.

Essentially we are practical people, who have come to prefer a rural country lifestyle, over city living.
