More information about this house sitter

I’m Irish and Australian: Irish by birth, and an Australian citizen who has lived here on and off for nearly thirty years. I have family and friends in Ireland/the UK and in Australia and find it difficult to settle completely in either place so find that housesitting in both hemispheres is a good solution.
I’m in my sixties, fit and healthy and a non smoker. I love to walk, and particularly to walk with a dog!
I have had a varied career, mainly in education and have been a teacher, lecturer, organisational development consultant in a university, bookshop owner, worked for a children’s literacy charity, and in the entertainment and events industry.
I have also developed some freelance skills which enable me to work from home wherever I am: proof reading and editing, online tutoring and as a funeral celebrant.
I have two adult children: my daughter lives in Melbourne, and my son in Perth.
I love animals, and we have always had family pets. We have always had a family dog including over the years a lhaso apso, a Labrador, a Jack Russell and more. We have also owned cats, sheep, horses and hens and I am happy to look after any of the above. I’m not too keen on reptiles so pet snakes would be a deal breaker!
I love gardening and have grown vegetables on an allotment as well as in my own gardens, and am very happy to look after your garden as if it were my own.
