We appreciate that you are probably a little nervous about letting strangers into your house and understand that your property is more than just a house to you - it is your home. We also realise that your pets are probably considered to be your 'children' and we also appreciate your garden is your sanctuary. We know this because we are family people. We love doing all the things that it takes to keep a family home safe, neat and tidy - that's not a 'house-sitting commercial' it's just the truth. We would love to help you enjoy your time away while we care for your home.

ABOUT US: We're an active middle-aged couple. Jan is 65 and Hiltrud is 65 years old. We are very trustworthy and responsible; we are fun loving and enjoy a good laugh. Hiltrud is very neat and tidy and Jan is now well trained?. We adore animals and are especially fond of pampered dogs and cats! You can be assured that your beloved will get all of the attention and special care they require. We'll maintain your pet’s normal routine so that life is not too stressful for them, especially since their ‘Mum and Dad” are away on their holidays. We enjoy walking and exercising so daily dog walks are a pleasure and not a chore.

We are both non-smokers. Hiltrud doesn't drink alcohol at all and Jan has a glass of wine every now and then. We are private people who respect other people's privacy. We don't pry into others personal lives - we are too busy living our own. We are quiet and respectful.

We have a great deal of experience looking after pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and fish. Ricky was the last family dog – a cross Great Dane and Boxer, boundless energy and ‘daft as a brush’ but much loved!

OUR POLICY IS TO TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE'S PLACES AS IF THEY WERE OUR OWN; WE GUARANTEE TO LEAVE YOUR PLACE THE WAY WE FOUND IT. WE WILL GLADLY TAKE CARE OF THE FOLLOWING:

- Looking after your house
- Feeding, grooming and caring for the dog, cat, fish, etc - Maintaining house security and a human presence in your home
- All common house cleaning duties
- Garden and lawn maintenance
- Forwarding mail, email and phone messages
- The occasional odd job/maintenance

PEACE OF MIND: We stay at home most of the time, rarely go out nor do we disappear for days on end. We also never commit any of the cardinal sins of house sitting such as look around for something better or change our minds a week before you embark on the holiday you've spent the last 3 years planning!?. We commit and we stay as agreed. And if this is the first time you've involved yourself in house-sitting, you can also ring us while you're away, whenever you feel stressed, or even send the neighbours over to check on us - we don't mind at all.

REFERENCES & AGREEMENTS: We are happy to provide both written and verbal references of previous house-sitting experience as well as any police checks. Jan also has a current Blue Card and Yellow Card (Positive Notice Cards for Child and Disability related employment requiring stringent police checks). We will gladly engage in any written agreements outlining secure guidelines between both parties to ensure matters such as phone bills, power bills and other mutual agreements, etc.

CONTACTING US: We prefer to be contacted by mobile phone as it adds a personal touch to our application and we're always near the phone - we are also contactable by email and these get checked virtually every day.

TIME PERIODS: We prefer the longer term house-sits preferably in excess of one month; and we are currently seeking for a house-sit in the Sunshine Coast area.
