We are a married couple (no kids), originally from Ireland but settled permanently in Canberra three years ago. We absolutely love dogs, having both grown up with them. With moving and settling here, we haven't yet been able to get a dog of our own but have lots of experience pet sitting for friends and family at home and in Canberra. We love that you want your dog to be looked after in their home environment and have as little disruption as possible while you are gone. We are using this as an opportunity to spend time with dogs for the next couple of years until we buy a house with a garden and get some furry friends of our own.
We will take care of your best friend, like they were our own. We can ensure their routine is kept and they get lots of cuddles, walkies and play time. We are very fit and active for dogs who require regular exercise but are also happy to sit back and chill with your dog if they don't need a lot of exercise or are advanced in years. We have carried out a lot of research about dog first aid and how to keep your dog safe in the Australian environment (checking for ticks etc.). We are happy to send you updates and photos of your friend/s when you are away or Skype to say hello!
We are non-smokers and will respect your home and abide by any of your house rules, making sure it's as you left it on your return. Willing to provide references and proof of our own rental inspections and history for your reassurance. Can also provide UK and Australian Police checks and we have valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People clearance. We can bring our own essentials with us and are happy to help out with leaving out the bins or watering your plants. We have a car big enough for any size dog and are happy to drive them about if needed.
