More information about this house sitter

Hello! I, Jennie, am 32 and an American who has been living in Australia almost two years. My husband, Adam, is a 39 year old Aussie. Most of his work has been in construction and groundskeeping, whereas I've done everything: from graduate research in sociology and uni teaching, to cleaning motels and bartending, to working as a roustabout for an alpaca shearer.

We've found ourselves with an undesirable living situation (very creepy person in a semi share house) and are looking to do some house sitting while we sort out a more permanent solution. We also want to move away from our current living in Newcastle and thought house-sitting would be a good place to get a feel for a new area.

We are used to caring for a variety of animals, including large energetic dogs. I grew up with Blue Heelers and the children and Adam have always had Staffys as pets (additionally we've raised guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, cats, birds and a turtle.)

Adam and I know how to care for a house, yard, and pets. Your home and loved ones would be in good hands with us. I have extensive house sitting experience and can provide references if desired, though they all live in the USA, or I can show you my AirBnB reviews.

As an additional bonus/reassurance, Adam and I are drug, alcohol, and smoke free, so you can be sure your home will be well treated and there's no chance of "partying" or similar behaviors while we are caretaking.
