A bit about us
We are a retired couple who live on acreage in Brisbane close to family who have cattle, chickens, ducks,dogs, guinea pigs, fish and a cat so we are used to having animals around us. We feed lots of birds daily, parrots, Kookaburras, Magpies, Butcher birds, you name it and we have it in our back yard.
We both enjoy gardening especially Jim and he loves to potter. Jim is a retired truck driver, he can do mowing, ride on, drive a tractor, he's very handy with machinery.
My background is hospitality, caravan and hotel management.
Have been housesitting for over 20 years and have looked after a variety of pets, met some amazing owners who have remained our friends and lived amongst great communities.
We are aware of the responsibility of looking after your home and animals.
Very clean and tidy, honest and trustworthy.
We would treat your home as ours.

“It is with some regret that we have to give a negative review for Jay & James. They are are a nice friendly couple, but we were disappointed with the lack of watering during the dry periods and some aspects of house cleaning on completion of their 22 day stay. Pot plants were not watered enough , vegetable garden was dry & ground hard when we got home inside of 24 hours of their leaving. We had to clear countless TV programs for pre recordings for a whole week from Foxtel. It would appear they spent most of their time watching tv. They had no animals to look after , just watering and 2 mows of the lawns . They did communicate with updates while we were away as requested.. Regards, Geoff & Heather Norris.”

We are deeply disappointed with this review as we believe that we did our very best to look after the gardens and vegie patch. In our stay of 22 days, it rained for 15 days. On the 5/12 we sent an email with the rainfall amount as requested and you replied that you had been "watching the BOM and seen all the rain we had received". I also told you we had lost plants because they were saturated. Secondly I told you that we were only able to mow twice because the yard was so wet, to which you replied " It wouldn't have worried us if you hadn't mowed. We did check before we left and watered a few plants that needed. The house was left clean and tidy. Jay and Jim Browne

“Jay and James house sat for us for one week. Our major priority was our 4 year old Spoodle who is a bundle of exuberant energy and affection but also suffers from separation anxiety. Kalli bonded with James from first meeting, he even slept with her to keep her happy ? she was happy and healthy when we arrived home - apart from punishing us for leaving her in the first place!!! Our home and garden were clean and well maintained. Jay and James fulfilled our expectations so no hesitation in recommending them. ”
