More information about this house sitter

A real believer in house sitting concept as being great for the home owners, pets and the house sitter. Happy sensible reliable friendly single female. Country upbringing nurse, midwife and nurse educator. My children have grown and have jobs in Melbourne, no need for family home or Mum's assistance, so this year I have rented out the house with a view to house sitting all around Australia as my full time occupation.

I take a commitment to sit very seriously. If I say yes, I regard that as being a definate commitment not to be taken lightly, and do not understand when I hear of house sitters cancelling close to the owners departure date.

Have been house sitting for 5 years, for a number of regular families. In Queenscliff, Queensland and Western Australia.

I am very used to and happy with my own company, but having said that, on long sits over 2 weeks, subject to and only with the owners approval, I have invited my Mum, or two girlfriends, or my son ,or daughter to stay a few days.(not all, one or other for approx 5 days) .

For Queensland and Western Australia house sits I have been given the use of a vehicle.

I like to meet the clients and animals before the house sit. I believe that gives the home owners reassurance and confidence. Then you get to look forward to your break which is how it should be, something to look forward to and be excited about. Read more...
