we have recently retired from work/life on Hamilton Island - employed in Tourism & Property Management for the past 5 years.
previously we lived and raised our 4 children in the Nambucca Valley (mid-north coast NSW) over 35 years and had family pets.
we are fit, healthy and responsible.
happy with 1-2 weeks or longer sits.
we can supply police checks and references from home owners.
we have a car with a roof pod so are fully mobile.
we've been house sitting for 16 months.

“Jonathan and Robbie
We’re our first house sitter and let’s just say I wouldn’t do it again
I was really easy in regards to what had to be done
Dogs and chickens to be feed and gardens maintained
everything to be the way I left it in the house
I said I’m happy for them to use the house just to leave everything clean as it was
They left in the morning and we arriving that afternoon
So after 7 weeks we got back home
First as we walk into the house it had a smell
I just thought it hadn’t been air
So i opened all the doors and windows as I got closer to the pantry the smell was stronger
we have direct access to the garage
so I walked out to the garage to work out what the smell was
we had some pumpkin from our garden in the cupboard and some had rotten
I get It I didn’t tell them about the pumpkins in the cupboard but considering they park there car in that garage
I’m very sure they would have smelt it just like I did
But choose to just leave it all that time and it was i disaster when we return
I had to clean it Straight away
I would have thought it was common sense if you smell something like that just action it
Then I come to the stove That I left clean
it was all full of marks and dirty
My deep-fry was clean when I left, it was discussing when I got home
They used the free standing spa didn’t even clean it and somehow even managed to detach it from the tiles have no idea what they got up to in it
Shower was a mess
Mirrors were disgusting
My plants in the kitchen I just asked to water once a week got back home to all of them cut
I have no idea why I didn’t ask to cut them just water them
Kitchen cupboards disgusting
My washing and dryer they couldn’t even close the doors after using them
Cinema room they took food inside again at least clean up after yourself
I had to remove place mattes from inside
The pizza oven they use
again didn’t even clean the ashes
We left the dogs dry food for them in the shed
they remove the dog food from the back shelter to the front that had no shelter so if it rain the dog food would get wrecked
They obviously just done that so they wouldn’t have to walk to dog enclosure
not even able to though the empty bags in the bin just left in the shed
Our dogs have a part of the backyard that’s set up for them
we instructed them if they let the dogs out to supervise them , as they will get up to mischief and of course our garden sprinkle we’re bitten so they would have let them out with no supervision
One of our chickens past away as we were away originally I thought it happens and told them not to worry about it
But once We got back home The chickens has no water
so I’ll take they were just careless
We have 7 chicken that put eggs everyday
But we didn’t even have any eggs in the fridge when we got back home
I didn’t give them permission to have anyone sleep over
they had people stay over and to top it of they stayed in my sons room that just really angered me
Just after coming from holidays I then had to be changing beds
The grass could have been cut but just left for us
When jonathan robbie arrived at our house we had dinner together that we organised
I still had to go to work that night so my husband done the rounds with them
I was very disappointed with the way things were left
I just got back home and had all this extra stuff to deal with
Considering they would massage us a few time a week i really though they had everything looked after
Robbin left us some muffins and nacho mince and a DVD
I would have preferred nothing left behind for us and the house been the way I left it
As that’s what I was expecting
I’m very sure they enjoyed themselves at our house just a shame they couldn’t respect it the way we do
as we work very hard to have what we have
