More information about this house sitter

I know how difficult it can be to trust someone with your beloved pet-family members, as well as your home. I have done it before and was fortunate enough to find a wonderful couple who loved my pets and cared for my home and garden so I could travel with peace of mind.
I have always loved and been the parent of many animals. I have owned and renovated homes, brought up beautiful young adult children, and worked in the performing art, education, in counselling and community development (cities and regional), in wellbeing and leisure in aged care
And I’m events and PR. I have worked with very vulnerable people and communities and I consider animals to be vulnerable members of our communities as well. They have no choice but to rely on humans. Homes are people’s sanctuary, the place that is not
Only their shelter, but the place they have sown seeds into, where memories have been made, money, time, blood, sweat and tears have been invested. It is a sacred space and it is an honour to be entrusted to be the caretaker and guardian of a home and of the pets who dwell there. I honour this.

I am a landlady (in a pet-friendly apartment complex of course :) and live in the inner east of Sydney with my 2 beautiful
Cats (who have surrogate parents when I’m away).
I love all animals and have had a horse and pony, fish, dogs, cats, cared for a sheep, rescued injured wildlife, and worked with therapy dogs in a specialised school.

I adapt to my surroundings, having lived in different towns, cities, countries, regional, rural, metropolitan, in apartments, an acreage, the suburbs etc.

I am not only respectful of others and their belongings, but my loyal and vigilant nature makes your priorities my priority - (not in a hectic manner though).
I’m friendly, easy, active, love my daily walks (more than once a day), I love nature, art, sketching, being mindful and present, prayerful meditation, beautiful surroundings and making the most out of situations (having overcome many challenges).

Anyone looking for the peace and comfort of leaving their pets, home, property, commitments, in the hands of a competent, smart, diligent, very kind and compassionate ‘surrogate’, need look no further than Jude.
No parties or self-serving pet/house sits with me. (I am social though, so if you have neighbours, they’ll be at ease too. I’m personable and friendly, but not a painful nosy-Parker.

Animals need an intuitive soul who pays attention on a deeper level than meeting physical Needs; Someone who understands that they have emotional needs, can experience separation anxiety and that love and reassurance, space or lap pats (or both, at different times)!, meeting their individual needs and being aware of their cues, is just as important and relevant as it is with anyone else who is vulnerable.

I’m not looking at house and pet minding on an ongoing basis, as I have 2 pets if my own. I am looking for the occasional assignment as I enjoy new experiences and helping others.
The photo of the fish is a fish that I nursed back to health.
