I am an active, energetic, mature aged lady, retired from the work force, but not retired from life. In a past life, I spent many years renovating our home with my husband and taming a rather neglected garden to suit our growing family, but the children left home and we sold our home of 41 years last year, opening up the opportunity to house sit. The world can be explored not as travellers, but as inhabitants and this allowed us and now allows me to become part of a community for a time. House sitting means I also get to share special times with other people’s pets. Having had pets before and after I married, I have a wealth of experience looking after dogs, cats, fish and turtles. All our pets lived to a ripe old age and I am familiar with caring for older animals requiring gentle exercise and/or medication. I bring commitment and reliability to each house sit. Having owned a home for over 40 years, I can appreciate how important a home is to each person and I am mindful of the fact that I am a caretaker of your home while you are away.
HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCE
I have always had pets, including a very much loved fox terrier and at different stages throughout the years, Burmese cats, fish and turtles. My 15 house sits since August 2017 has given me experience with horses, goats, alpacas, sheep and chickens as well as dogs and cats. I have come to know Maine Coons, Bengals, Birmans and different varieties of dogs. Peace of mind while you are away is paramount and I can guarantee that your home, including plants and pets will be well cared for and loved as though they were my own.
