More information about this house sitter

Hi! We are Kandi and Patrick, a slightly older pair of American working holiday-ers, staying Down Under until January of 2017. I have used different housesitting sites back in the States, and have had nothing but positive experiences. At this time, we would be an excellent match for anyone going overseas for the holidays at the end of the year. We love having pups and kitties around, so a home with pets would be especially great!

A bit about us- I am originally from Alaska, grew up out in the woods, and always had dogs, cats, and even a pig! I am very handy, and am just as comfortable in the country as the city. I also lived in Hawaii for three years after University, and love the beach/ocean and any water sport. I work in the Hospality/Travel industry, mostly in events. We are both coming from Washington, DC, where Patrick was born and raised. He has the green thumb of the two of us and is a terrific gardener/landscaper. Pat has worked on the water for the last 10 years as a first mate on the former Presidential yacht Sequoia, as well as two other vessels, and also as a sailing instructor. We both enjoy the water, traveling, cooking, and a nice glass of wine in the evening. We've spent this wonderful year in Oz with a Sydney to Briabane road trip, six months in Tasmania, another road journey from Hobart to Darwin via Uluru, and are currently enjoying beautiful Port Douglas until late November.

We are responsible, reliable, and mature, with plenty of excellent references available on request.
