Hello to all parents of fur babies. We are a mature Scottish couple, a retired social worker and a semi-retired occupational therapist. We have been together for 45yrs, and as foster parents have raised over 20 teenage boys. Throughout our married life we have owned and fostered numerous cats and dogs as members of UK rescue organisations. We love new adventures and have been house sitting continually since arriving in Australia in May 2015. What started as a way to explore Australia has become a lifestyle because we are regularly re-booked up to a year in advance from previous house owners and their friends and family. Why do we love house sitting? It's because we ourselves have never used kennels or catteries and we understand how important it can be for some animals to remain in their own home during their owners absence, and for owners to have a much needed break with peace of mind, knowing their pets are being loved and cared for. To date we have cared for a variety of dogs, beautiful cats, guinea pigs, fish, and various pet and wild birds. We can honestly say the animals always come first with us and we always comply with any requests the owners have in relation to the care of their pets. We are not party animals and rarely go out in the evenings. We much prefer to stay at home and read or watch television and are at our happiest when caring for a fur baby. Having always owned our own homes, we understand the need for respect for other peoples' properties. Consequently we care for your home as if it were our own and are as self sufficient as possible.
