Hi my name is Kathie and my husband is Des. We are in our mid 60s, we are fit and healthy. Neither of us smoke or drink (other than water) :) .

I am housesitting in the south over summer so as to escape the heat of the north.

We love animals and I enjoy gardening. I have grown up with animals and have owned many dogs, cats, fish, chickens, birds, rats and earthworms. Oh yes we raised some lambs one year!
We are both honest and reliable and will keep your pets, home and gardens clean and well cared for (pets well fed and loved). I am a fastidious housekeeper. We will treat your home and privacy with respect and the dignity you deserve. We are waiting for a current Police Clearance.
I have house sat in the past and am just taking it up again in my search for cooler climes. I have house and farm sat on occasion for a number of years and will be able to provide references if required.

One of my favourite Mindahome pet sit was Jessie who was a 12yr old kelpy/staffy cross. She had a number of medical conditions and I was responsible for cooking her special diet and administering her medications. I took her for short 10min bush walks daily to keep her back legs strengthened. I really enjoyed this assignment. The owners were so happy with my service that I became their preferred sitter. Alas she has since passed.

We had a long term arrangement with a family in Shark Bay where we house & job sit each year for 7 years. They own a single cat, who loves to bring me tributes of mice and rats. :)
We have friends in Tasmania that we farm sit for. They have a hobby farm so it is early rise, rain or shine, to feed the animals. I love going to their farm, it's great playing farmer. :) This too will be an ongoing event.
I also house sat for a friend in Mornington Peninsular Victoria. She was very happy as my hubby did a lot of minor maintenance for her. Like fixing door handles, taps and other miscellaneous items. There were no pets but we were responsible for tending to her garden.
Years ago I did horse sit for a few weeks - but never again! The dogs, cats were great I loved them to bits. This horse was something else! So sorry - no horse sitting for me.
