More information about this house sitter

Rodney and I started our house sitting adventure in December 2017. We are passionate about animals and love travelling.

Honesty, cleanliness and a love of animals are our key attributes.

House sitting has given us the opportunity to care for much loved pets as though they were our own. We've met wonderful owners and had the chance to explore new places and get a taste of local life.

We come from a ski area in Australia, where Rodney managed a ski store for 20 years prior to retiring. I have worked in retail and and had ran a home based business. For the next stage of our life we want to experience as much of the world as we can.

While enjoying alpine environments we also love the extended periods we spend in South East Asia, UK and Europe. We have had a wonderful time house sitting in Thailand and England and walking in Portugal and Spain.

Cycling, walking and photography are some of our favourite activities. I am passionate about cooking, and playing with all the fur babies that we care for.
Why we want to house sit
We sold our home so that we can follow our dream to travel and experience other cultures.

House sitting will be a way to explore different places over extended periods.

Pets are very important to us and looking after them while holidaying enables us to give and receive the companionship and affection that we have always enjoyed from our dogs.

We have completed 41 housesits. They included dogs of all personalities and ages, cats, chickens, geese and parrots. Most of our sits have been on other sites. All of these sits gave us 5 star reviews and have asked for us to return.

Caring for street dogs is a passion of ours and we have helped out in shelters in Thailand

While in Thailand on holidays we joined street dog care groups and helped to get one little rescue dog (Jenny) adopted in the U S. I hope that I can continue this type of volunteer work. Having owned five dogs over the years we know how to spoil pets and how to train them.

I am known by all my friends to be extremely fastidious around home and work, so I'm sure anyone using us as sitters would be more than happy on their return. Read more...
