We view it as an honour and privilege to be allowed to take care of another person's home and pets. We have 15 years experience in housesitting, looking after a variety of pets across 104 sits. We have a genuine love for animals. We have found a niche where we can explore different parts of the world while providing an invaluable service to homeowners.

We love house sitting as it provides the perfect vehicle for slow travel. It means that we can explore the local area on foot, mostly accompanied by dogs which we are caring for. One sees and enjoys the neighbourhood so much more whilst walking around. There is no need for us to rush around like tourists. We can do things at our own leisurely pace. Home owners also tell us about their favourite local places to visit and excellent tips on cafes and restaurants.

We were invited back to Norfolk Island for a repeat sit because the owners said their Labradoodles had thrived in our care. Several days after we left the dogs were still hoping to find us. We have house sat in Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada for 2 months. We have completed 6 sits in the UK, including one in Scotland. When we finished the assignment in Wiltshire and departed, the owner told us that her Golden Retriever and Labrador waited at the gate for over an hour for us to return. We had played several games with them and they had obviously enjoyed these.

We have sat in a remote part of the South Island in NZ, about 2 hours from Blenheim and 1.5 hours from Nelson. The scenery was stunning.

We are often invited to do repeat sits, and we are frequently booked out 6-12 months in advance but we enjoy doing sits in new places with different pets. The most difficult thing is saying goodbye to the pets which we have been looking after.
