Hi Everyone
After our retirements from Queensland Police and State Education in July 2018, we have been involved with farm/house sits in Queensland (10), Tasmania (1), South Australia (3), Victoria (1) and New South Wales (4). COVID restrictions have forced us to quarantine to the Atherton Tablelands during 2020 and Quorn (SA) in 2021.
Leanne and I, in applying for your house-sitting position, is based on the understanding that you have room for a caravan, wifi, small family of pets, moderate garden care and that you are part of the Kimberley, Pilbara and Perth regions of Western Australia.
Our current travels are planned to see the wonders of Western Australia over the next three to four years. Previous sits have been a mix of free camping to managing rescue dogs at Bega (NSW), kennels at Cedarton (QLD), cattle at Haden (QLD), cattle/horses at Sandy Hills (NSW) and feed lots at Gunnedah (NSW). We are about to leave South Australia after exploring the wonders of the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas as well as the Adelaide Hills region, and head to Western Australia in early August crossing the border early September with a G2G Pass and both AstraZeneca inoculations.
We do favour to "live" out of our van though we will not reject any offer to sit in the comfort of your home. Both Leanne and I are relaxed with duties involving pets, gardens, pools and authorised home repairs. With COVID restrictions still lingering, we are looking for sits such as yours between 2021 and 2022 before heading further south down to the Perth Region.
