Hi we are Astrid & Jarrod, lovely to meet you!

**We're currently not taking housesittings on 2023-2024 due some commitments**

We're lovers of all sorts of things: gardens, communities, country life, healthy food, exploring new places and of course animals!

We do receive a lot of requests so just wanted to give you a heads up that we absolutely adore country housesits and rural towns. If this is up your alley please read on! Thanks so much everyone.

I'm a Graphic Designer from Patagonia - Chile and I've been living in Australia for more than 12 years. I work remotely as a designer but I also have a great passion for puppeteering. I performed at festivals around the world with my show called “The Pilgrim”. You can view my work on Instagram or Vimeo just search for "The Pilgrim's Cabinet". I grew up in a small town surrounded by animals, tough weather conditions and a mum who taught me all about food gardening. Besides a profound connection to plants I also love forest bathing and anything to do with animals, plus I have more than 17 years of meditation and yoga practice. It may help to say that I’m physically fit and I’m not afraid of manual labour/hard work if it’s required.

I had the pleasure of growing up on a bustling dairy farm in country Victoria where I learned everything from milking cows and goats to feeding calves sheep and many other animals. If you need, I can drive tractors, motorbikes and can even cart hay! Nowadays, I run a super cool company called Storytowns, where we create audio guides that are like a friendly tourist companion as you drive across Australia. You can give it a go by searching for "Storytowns" on Google or the app store.

We've been housesitting for a long time and we absolutely love it! As you can see from our reviews, we're responsible, clean, and considerate folks who enjoy peace and quiet. We particularly love housesitting in the countryside where we can enjoy our own company.
