As a couple we have had animals since we were married mainly dogs,which have become a beloved part of our family, up until recently, when we retired; & took to the road in our van for up to 6 months at a time. When our sons were small we had guinea pigs, kittens/ cats; fish inside & out & enjoyed them all.
Gerry is very capable at home now as he keeps upgrading our van to be able to go Free Camping in style. He is fastidious with keeping his car in good nick. He keeps up to date records financially. He is a peaceful, capable person, happy pottering around, always putting his hand to something that needs doing. He's even taken up gardening & cooking. . We have renovated our home together, over many years & created a garden oasis which is a joy to us. Gerry was a social worker, then managed West Coast Home Care, then Baptist Care.
I, Jan have taught music in schools & at home & entertained in restaurants etc . I've also written 2 musicals and produced them on stage so you see I love music, the creative arts, I play with words, writing poetry, prose ,little helpful sayings. We both enjoy photographing birds & I've enjoyed printing them on canvas. We volunteer with the National Parks; enjoy the Bird Club, the Garden Club, walking in Nature, kayaking.

Jan and Gerry house- sat for us while we enjoyed a short break. From the minute we first connected, we knew they would provide trusted and quality care for our much loved pets and for our home - and that they did in abundance. Most significantly their natural affinity for our animals and the obvious attention they were given was evident immediately evidenced by our vision when leaving of the dogs being petted and reassured as they watched us go. On return we found our home immaculate and our pets happy and contented. On a personal note we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with Gerry and Jan; they are knowledgeable, interesting people with very high personal values and standards whose honestly and reliability is beyond question. We wholeheartedly recommend Jan and Gerry to anyone looking for reliable, tidy, organised and self sufficient house and pet sitters. You could not do better! 5 star Organised, 5 star Reliable, 5 star Self-sufficient, 5 star Tidy 5 star Pet care. We also cared for the Mayor's home in PT Lincoln , Brad & Jo Flaherty for Christmas New Year 2019 and their extensive gardens.but this was through word of mouth.

I have known Jan for over 40 years, having first met when we were school students at Methodist Ladies College.
When I lived in Pt Lincoln for 17 years, from 1977, Jan and I were good friends, and our children grew up together. We maintained a friendship after I left Pt Lincoln, often visiting and staying in one another’s homes.
Over the last few years Jan has performed housesitting duties for us in our home in Victor Harbor. We are very confident leaving our home in Jan’s care as she always maintains it with loving care. She is naturally tidy and has an attention to detail, and we always arrive home to a neat and clean house.
Jan is an honest person of good values. She is reliable, considerate, and uses her initiative to maintain the environment around her in an attractive manner.
In her working life she was a much-loved music teacher in the town. Jan has entertained with her guitar and beautiful voice in many hospitality venues and community events around Pt Lincoln on a professional basis over many years. She wrote, produced and directed several musical performances which were presented for the community.
Jan has volunteered for many years as a Friend of the National Parks helping to beautify and maintain the Lincoln National Park and she also volunteered to assist the community rebuild after the devastating bush fires that affected Pt Lincoln. Over the years she has involved herself in numerous community organisations around Pt Lincoln, including local churches, music groups and gardening clubs and is a member of the local Leisure Centre.
Jan is well known and liked and has an excellent reputation in the city of Pt Lincoln and amongst her many friends and acquaintances right around Australia.
I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
