We are a family of four (Cedric, Hayley, Gaby 9 yo and Caleb 7yo) who love travelling! We have trained our children to respect other peoples properties…so they know when visiting or staying with friends and family to remove their shoes at the door (we don’t wear shoes in our house) look at things with their eyes and not hands” unless invited to play with toys books etc. and to keep their feet off furniture! We are home owners in beautiful North Queensland!
We also owned a rental property for a number of years in Perth.
We love exploring the great outdoors…bush walking, swimming and camping we love watching animals in the wild and star gazing!
I (Hayley) grew up on a farm in W.A where my siblings and I were responsible for caring for our cats, dogs, chickens and horses.
My husband grew up with a loveable dog called Mozart!
We have a 6 yo very playful Shih Tzu X Maltese “Sparky” who we adopted October last year, she is very much part of our family…our children (and of course my hubby and I) love taking her on walks (especially to show off at school) brushing, washing and feeding her…she is very cuddly needless to say we miss her whilst we are holidaying…so the idea of looking after and loving someone else’s fur babies is very appealing.
I have house sat a number of times whilst serving in the Defence Force.
Darwin N.T 2004- twice for a family with 2 dogs. Once for a colleague also with two dogs.
Woodside S.A 2007- a family with a cat and a small herd of cattle.
2007- Another couple with sheep!
Perth- 2009 - A couple with cats
Most recently for a friend Brisbane CBD - 2022 Apartment (reference available)
We love keeping our house and garden (my hubby has an impressive veggie and fruit garden) clean and tidy and will certainly do the same with your home. We are Christians so we don’t smoke or drink ?
I also have a Blue Card (a police check was part of the blue card process).
