Hello home owners 🌻

My name is Katie. I began my house sitting journey back in 2018 when I made the decision to leave life in Victoria and drive up the east coast of Australia. As an animal lover, I thought I would try out house sitting- and sure enough I absolutely loved it! As of Sep 2026 I have now completed over 60 house sits (via this platform, another popular platform, through social media and house sitting for work colleagues, as well as word of mouth).

Almost 6 years ago I met my wonderful partner Nick, and he began joining me on my house sitting adventures. He too enjoys the freedom of this lifestyle and all of the unique experiences we are only able to have whilst caring for the homes, properties and pets of people all over Australia. Nick goes above and beyond with ensuring that the gardens, lawn and property are well-maintained, as well as any livestock are being thoroughly cared for.

Nick and I have now been travelling since early 2023, and after a lap and a half around the country and spending the last year in WA, we are back in South Australia making our way towards Adelaide.

About us:
I'm 35 yrs old and love all things nature- peaceful environments, sunrises, the ocean, mountains, forests.. I enjoy photography, reading, writing, swimming, snorkelling, yoga, cafes, farmers markets, cosy fires, cooking, and of course travelling and exploring our beautiful country. In 2012 I graduated from Monash University as an Occupational Therapist and went on to work in private psychiatry, aged care, pain management and disability. I am particularly passionate about natural health and wellness, spirituality and alternative medicine.

Nick is 34, a kind and gentle down to earth guy! He is a landscaper, plumber, self-taught mechanic and in general, a very clever tinkerer. Having grown up on farms (and assisting with running a family business), he is extremely knowledgeable and able to manage and fix anything that goes wrong- there is truly nothing he can't do. He loves being outdoors, fixing and building things, being amongst the animals, chopping wood, playing guitar, cooking- anything hands on really!

We are both huge animal lovers. I come from a home on acreage that always had many rescue pets so I'm comfortable with all animals, large and small. We will love and adore your pets as if they're our own, providing all the affection they need as well as exercise and daily photos to owners if they wish. We have found that many anxious pets quickly feel at ease in our presence due to our calm and safe energy. Furthermore, we have had many home owners ask us back to house sit for them again in the future and even plan their holiday dates around our availability.

Our pup:
In 2024 we decided to get our own Border Collie (after caring for her beautiful sister at a house sit actually!) Skyla is a gorgeous girl who will be 2 yrs old this September. She is a bright, confident, and well-behaved little girl who loves being around other dogs. She is incredibly adaptable, enjoys travelling and adores everyone she meets.

As we are travelling full-time, she is with me 24/7 and I never leave her alone or unsupervised with other pets- therefore I am also able to offer your pets the same 24/7 presence. We no longer have a caravan but we do have two vehicles.

In summary:
Nick and I are very reliable and organised people who appreciate being in a clean and tidy environment. We are non-smokers and non-drinkers, and use our own non-toxic products for cleaning as well as our own bedding, towels, kitchenware, food, condiments, etc. Your home will be left lovely and clean, just as you left it for us.

We have many excellent references listed here and elsewhere I’d be more than happy to share. With open and honest communication, we are able to provide the reassurance that home owners need so they can truly relax into their holiday, knowing that their home, garden and pets are being 100% respected, loved and cared for. We believe the process should be as easeful as possible, and that is the service we aim to provide.
