Hi! My partner Jer (41 y/o from Alaska) and I (Maia, 27 y/o from Melbourne) are clean, quiet, non-smoking, animal lovers. We are both web developers and work remotely, which means we’re home most of the time. We are avid travellers and enjoy being able to live like locals while experiencing new places, and we’ve found house/pet sitting to be a great way to do this since starting in June 2019.

*** We are currently booked until late Jan 2021 BUT for a long term sit one of us can leave early if the dates overlap. We're also able to do a 2-4 day sit in NSW before end of Jan (that's the max time we can be away for) and we'd actually love this - been in Victoria tooo long!!***

We also seem to immediately fall in love with the pets that we sit, which is so nice for us and for them and for the owners as well, but does make it sad to leave!

We travelled the world with our almost 17 y/o beagle, who has lived in 4 different continents and shows no sign of wanting to settle down. He particular enjoyed riding motorbikes in Malaysia (see pics). He is somewhat playful with other dogs but mostly keeps to himself and sleeps a lot.

Needless to say, your fur babies are going to be much loved by us, walks, cuddles, brushing, you name it. And I can’t help taking pictures of cuteness so if you like I can easily send you updates to relieve your worry at being away. We recently looked after a cat who is very playful but didn't have any toys, so I made him one and he loves it!

Jer is a great handyman and can take care of any maintenance that needs to be seen to, and he also has a vendetta against weeds so the garden will be looked after. We both enjoy living in a clean environment so your home will be kept in perfect condition while you’re away.

We’re happy to answer any questions you might have, and depending on where you’re located we’ll try to get over to meet you properly before the sit, otherwise a zoom meeting is definitely doable :)

They were originally planned to housesit and look after our little Alby cat for the weekend but jumped in to stay for a week when we had a family emergency (funeral). "Maia and Jer stepped in to housesit for us for 6 months while we visited family in Hungary. They have been in regular contact with updates and pictures of our well looked after garden and very happy cat Mishi. It means a lot to know we can leave for so long and Mishi and our home are in such good hands. They have even been understanding about our quarantine requirements when we return to Australia and have agreed to stay an extra 2 weeks AND pick us up from Melbourne after our quarantine. We definitely made the right choice in house sitters!"
