If you are looking for a reliable healthy happy non-smoking couple to look after your home while you are away then consider us.
We started sitting when we moved to Brisbane and had our home on the market. We were not sure which suburb in Brisbane we would like to live in so we decided to do some house sitting in the hopes that we would get more of an idea and perhaps find a happy street to call our home.
Since then we have really enjoyed the experience and have continued to house sit in Brisbane and Far North Queensland.
Rae does contract work and is presently taking some time off while Gav is semi-retired who can work from home when required. Rae does some study and writing and is mostly at home during the day. They love most animals. Rae grew up with spaniels and boxers and both have had poodles and love the newer poodle cross such as labradoodles.
We both love cats and have owned a couple of Persians as well as refuge cats (one was a forest cat with an amazing feathered tail) when our family was young and as we are empty nesters are missing our fur babies (of course, we miss our human older children too, guys!). Rae loves Ragdolls and her grandmother bred champion Siamese and Blue Pointers. We just want to spend some time with some fur friends again as we are not able to get any more animals until we are established and have not had any animals of our own for the past 5 years (our two daughters took their beloved cats with them to their homes and when our 16 year old lab cross died, we knew we were moving, so did not replace him).
We do not smoke and have a rare drink when dining out but are pretty much home bodies.
We are able to look after most pets - from chooks to horses but please no rats or mice for us.
We a comprehensive police check we can email the owners and Rae has a blue card and Gav has licences which require him to have full police checks... We are clean and tidy - just an average couple.
For some reason, we cannot put up our references so here is a copy of one (we have house sat for Angie three times long term, and she has booked us again for later this year):

"You will be delighted to have Rae & Gav looking after your home. Rae has looked after my home long term on a couple of occasions and I would happily have her back here. The yard and gardens were looked after and they are equally happy to spoil pets. I’m happy to confirm this separately. You can get my contact details from Rae."
We look forward to meeting you in person and are happy to visit you and your home before confirmation if possible, to make it an easy transition for your animals so that they know us before the sit time. Read more...
