Hello! I have house sat three times in 2022 and three times in 2023, and am expecting to be available for further housesits in late 2024 or early 2025!

I have owned my own home for 15+ years and rented for 20+ years. I am a 65yo Australian citizen who has lived in Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. I am currently visiting in Alaska for several years with my wife and one of our daughters, and have applied for permanent residency. However, with three other adult children living in Australia, and a grandchild as well, I expect to visit Australia for a few weeks at a time every year or so,

I have been a fur-daddy to cats, dogs and tropical fish all my life. I am quiet and clean, a non-smoker in excellent health, and enjoy gardening, reading, walking and translating Chinese. I retired from the Australian Public Service at the end of 2022, having been in that career for 30 years, both in Canberra and Sydney, and was negative vetted at Level 1 by the Australian Government (ie I have no criminal record etc).

Given these experiences, I am a responsible and trustworthy house-sitter, with good judgement and reliability, and am thrilled to mind your fur-babies as well! I would be housesitting as a single person, as my wife, who is a nurse, needs to remain in Alaska. I will also be without my own fur-babies )a cat and dog) when house-sitting your home. I will keep your house clean and tidy, and any pets and gardens well cared for.
