Maureen and Norm

Maureen and Norm minded my cat and 2 chooks whilst I was away for a week.

Usually when I have been away, my cat is very grumpy with me for a few hours. She did not seem at all fussed that I had not been there; a sure sign of how well she was cared for.

The chooks had clean water and food, and had continued to lay – they will stop laying when stressed or upset.

My house was clean and tidy and I was extremely impressed with their care and attention. I emailed and spoke to both prior to leaving but never actually got to meet them. I hope to meet them both in future, to thank them in person. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We are a semi-retired couple who enjoy a reasonably quiet lifestyle. We love the company of most domestic pets, cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs etc. and have some experience with farm animals, mainly chickens, horses and cows. Our kids are grown up with families of their own so we are free to enjoy being tourists in our home city along with some country living and exploring rural towns. We are both non-smokers and non-drinkers and are reasonably fit, a clean and tidy couple who love to keep busy in the garden. We are a responsible, security conscious couple who will treat your home and pets with respect and consideration as if it were our own home. We are both community minded and do some work with various volunteer groups so have recent references and police checks which we can supply on request. We love nature, our hobbies include caravaning, motor bike touring, kayaking, bush walking, photography along with reading, painting, watching tv, movies and playing on the computer. Read more...
