Darby and I have been exploring this country since July 2019 by volunteering and house sitting to meet like-minded people and to share our huge range of skills with hosts who need clever workers. Darby is an excellent cook and we both enjoy gardening and caring for animals. Darby is a Welder, High School & TAFE Teacher, Engineer, Blacksmith and an excellent 'Home Handyman'. I am a Ceramist & Pottery Tutor, Artist, Administrator and also have experience in Sales & Marketing.
For many years we enjoyed being Airbnb and WWOOF / Cultural Exchange hosts in New Zealand so we have a pretty good idea of what is required to be good house guests.
Darby and I have owned and managed lifestyle blocks/small farms in the Waikato NZ therefore we are competent in many areas; gardening, house keeping, home maintenance, farm animal and pet care.
We are well travelled having cycled through many European countries (including Taiwan and Hokkaido) on 3 separate occasions for up to 6 months each time. We love reading, watching French movies, walking/hiking, swimming, caring for animals, house sitting, meeting people and great conversation.
We are currently house sitters on a 100 acre farm on the Mid North Coast and we expect to be here until the end of 2021 and possibly longer. We are maintaining extensive landscaped gardens and lawns and looking after chickens and cows. Darby and I are available for short term house sits providing one us stays on the farm in Mooneba. We have been house sitting in Mooneba for more than a year now and because we are still here, we do not have a review on this website yet however contact details to speak to the house owners are available on request.

I can say without a doubt, Tammy has been our best house sitter yet. She looked after our horses, a young koala we had in our care, birds and garden. Both horses needed medical attention which Tammy followed through on, Tammy has lots of common sense and our house looked the best it has ever looked after her magic touch.
