More information about this house sitterI would describe myself as a caring, happy, trustworthy person who has old fashion values. I have been house and pet sitting for people that I know and have also started sitting interstate. I have done a few house/pet sittings in Queensland in the last 3 month and I was amazed how much I enjoyed becoming one of the locals, and how easily I adapted to my new surroundings and bonding with my new fur family which was just the best part.
Having had pets most of my life, and growing up in the country on a farm in Gippsland, I know how difficult it is to have your precious pets left with someone who you can trust, and looked after the way that you expect them to be. When I had my bulldogs, (one lived to 11 and the other one lived to 12) they were the love of my life, one was a very special needs dog, I would have to cook their food, and when they were not able to go for walks anymore I would walk them in a pusher. I still miss them terribly, that's why I know how other people feel that special bond with their pets.
I work as a CareGiver, and have been helping to care for the elderly with everyday tasks, such as home help, personal care so they can remain in their own home as long as possible for the last 20 months, (only recently I was selected as Caregiver of the quarter) which was totally unexpected, but I felt very privileged). Since being a caregiver I have learned to adapt to every different home that I go into, as I know no two homes are the same. I would make sure everything that you would expect to be done, for you home, and pets would be done.
Another very important part of my job is helping out with caring for peoples pets, when they are longer able to look after them they way they use to, I help with walking, feeding, vet visits and help with administering medications when necessary.
I know in the big picture I am fairly new to house/pet sitting. I hope you can feel at ease and trust me to look after your pets and home, knowing that I will provide the best care I can give. If there are special Instructions I would make sure I would follow them to the best of my ability.
I like to keep fit when I'm not working and I try and get a work out in most days after work or in between shifts as I'm a big believer it is very important to keep strong and healthy as you age.
I Iove walking, swimming, bush walking, beaching and keeping healthy and active and experience whatever life as to offer, and will take on any challenge that is offered.
I would consider myself privileged to look after your home and pets, and would treat your home as if it were my own.
I know that most people love to be kept informed how there pets are doing while their away, so I would be happy to send photos, so you can enjoy your time away from them.
I am a non smoker, only drink on social occasions, and will keep your house just the way you want it to be so when you come home, it will be just as you left it.
I can provide a police check and references. I can provide a references from the people that I have just recently minded, I haven't attached them to my profile as I need a lesson on how to attach, but I do have hard copies.
I hope you will consider me to watch you pets and home and I am quite happy for you to ring me and be in contact as much as you need to see if I'm the right person for you.
I'm doing short periods of house/pet sittings at the moment, as I'm doing it in between doing a Certificate III in Aged Care, I'm on the home run. My aim is to hopefully take up longer term sittings positions in the new year wherever it maybe and hopefully escape Melbourne's cold weather, and maybe focus on looking after my new pet family, can't think of a nicer way to have time out.
I look forward to hearing from you.
