More information about this house sitter

Peter and I (Janice) are very active and fit, non-smoking happily married couple residing in S.E. Qld. In 2011, I left the Public Service. Up to recently we have been busy in our small cleaning business. I have found this was a great change from my long term desk job and being an active pastime had kept us both fit and healthy.

We currently live on a 5 acre property at Camp Mountain pursuing our gardening passions especially vegetable growing and compost making with lots of lovely chickens and keeping an eye out for suitable long term housesit/caretaking opportunities Qld or NSW since re-joining Minda Home recently.

We are now looking at House Sitting or longer Caretaking roles again not too far from our families on the east coast. We have had previous housesitting/pet sitting experience from elderly indoor cats and small animals with special needs to horses and cows.
We are avid gardeners always finding something in the garden to attend to and tidy up.
We are both tidy and very house proud and appreciate this in others.
Rest assured your property will be in the best of hands during your absence as we will also keep in contact on a regular basis with plenty of photos!

Previously, whilst living in Alstonville northern NSW we owned and operated a rural lawn & garden maintenance business from a small farm (horses and milking cows) . We specialised in acreage mowing (rideon) and body corporate gardening. We enjoyed this work but as our 3 sons were approaching High School age we decided to move to Brisbane in 2000 to further their education. Our interests are: organic gardening, pets, native bees, reading, bush walking and taking care of sick and injured animals.

To Summarise: Honest, friendly and capable, non-smoking couple (very healthy) Both have extensive commercial property maintenance and rural garden experience with swimming pool care. Free and unencumbered-no pets- Laptop and mobile phone References (Ray White rental, house sitting / pet sitting and personal) and Police Clearances
Available for interview to suit.

'Hi Jan and Pete, just thought you might like to know that when Matt (the guy who is doing our landscaping) came to get back into the work he was VERY impressed with the lawn. He said he had been so worried about it over Xmas/New Year but having seen it he thinks it is the best looking lawn on the South Coast!!! I gave it a light mow yesterday and it is looking fabulous.

We have just arrived home and want to thank you both so much - all is looking great and Fred was not overly pleased to see us (which means he mustn't have missed us). Also many thanks for keeping the turf and tree ferns alive and well during such difficult weather. We feel very lucky that we were able to leave our house, pets and garden in such capable hands and that our first house-sitter experience has been so successful.
