Hi, I’m Miranda 😁! My husband, Matthew, and I live in the inner-city Newcastle suburb of Wickham with our three, gorgeous boys: Joshua, who’s in primary school, and Thomas and Nicholas, who are in preschool.

For any local (within around 20km of Newcastle) assignments, it’ll mainly be me caring for your pets and looking after your home and garden, although Matthew and our boys may come to help at times. Anything further afield will likely be all of us, but we’ll always do our best to do what works for you.

I’m a trained counsellor, and am currently employed by Lifeline as a Crisis Supporter on their text and chat services. I work part-time via a remote server (ordinarily from home), so am able to work from anywhere at all, making me extremely flexible and able to spend lots of time in your lovely home and with your gorgeous fur babies. We all adore animals, and have two, middle-aged cats of our own, Henry and Lucy. The boys are always very gentle and kind towards our beloved felines and love cuddling, caring for, and going on walks with their various uncles’ and aunties’ pets (including dogs, cats, chickens, birds, fish - even a blue-tongued lizard!) every time we visit. We currently live in an apartment, but look forward to one day (once the kids are older) adopting a beautiful canine of our very own.

I used to work as a charity fundraiser for the RSPCA, and grew up in a home with animals and a brother who used to volunteer for WIRES so, in addition to our pets, there were often possums, bats, sea creatures, birds, lizards - even a ferret once - we had rescued and would be nursing back to health. Needless to say, I have a LOT of experience caring for animals, and love doing so. As for your gardening needs, Matthew and I are quite the avid gardeners. While Matthew has more gardening experience and knowledge than I do, I’ve recently gotten into it and been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it! Living in an apartment, we’re of course limited in how much gardening we can currently do, so we’d really relish being able to tend to your garden.

We make the ideal house and petsitters, as we’re very flexible, honest, animal-loving, hard-working, reliable people, and would treat your home, garden, and of course, your sweet pets, with the respect, love, and care they deserve.
