I've either owned or looked after everything from blue tongued lizards to horses. That includes canaries, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. The last 2 dogs were a Siberian husky and then a Japanese Akita. So I'm experienced with large dogs that are bred for specific purposes. In particular, I'd say in reference to the Akita, experienced dog handlers only due to their size, intelligence, strength and assertiveness. It's a bit like driving as in if you're driven a truck anything smaller is a breeze so small dogs are ok too. Anything really, I just love animals! Although having said that, I'm quite happy to just look after the house if that's all that is required. I had my own place on the market for 7 & a half months and kept it and the garden in perfect OFI condition and seeing as I was there on my own, I'm also very conscious of security. I should add, I prefer long term assignments.
