More information about this house sitter
****Please note: I usually work fulltime but Im currently job hunting, therefore Im not able to consider house sits any further than a month in advance as I dont know where I will end up needing to be based and I dont want to mess up anyones travel plans. ****
I am a 50 year old professional female (no kids or pets of my own).
I'm very clean/ tidy, a non smoker, quiet and into healthy living, respectful of people's property and privacy, as well as very reliable with ample character references, available on request.
I have been in SA (usually working fulltime) for 4 years (office and at home). Previously I was in the NT on a career break for 18 months (where i was quite active housesitting). Before that I was based in south west Western Australia for several years where I was working full time for a community organisation managing environmental projects which is my usual line of work.
SA born, I grew up on farms in South Western Victoria. I have grown up around animals (sheep, cattle, dogs, cats, chickens and budgies) and have had pets most of my life (dogs/cats/cockatiels) although have none at present. Im therefore quite comfortable around them.
My hobbies include bushwalking, kayaking, gardening, art pursuits, bike riding, gardening, nature and cultural events.
I tend to travel in a car so I do not come with a caravan.
Im not new to house sitting, I did quite a bit of sitting in Darwin during my travels and everyone was happy at the duration. Ive sat dogs and cats, fish, birds/chickens, guinea pigs and fed horses as well as looked after gardens. Since being in South Australia Ive housesat frequently.
If you're stuck for a sitter, contact me and we can discuss options :).
Photos: Mostly all recently updated:
The main photo is me in the Darwin build -up chilling out with one of my 2x fluffy charges.
1x blue heeler: That's Digger one of the 2 dogs that I was living with in Girraween in the NT, he and I always stopped to catch up when I pulled up in the driveway ( I'd open my door and he would be straight in with that wet nose to find out where I've been!)
1x border collie Milo - Port Elliot - full of beans I was only just getting to know her properly as the short sit ended although i never did get to understand WHY she ran around in circles barking and staring up at the sky!
1x Poodle X Archie - Camden Park SA - OMG what a total gentleman! With his soft curly hair like thick woollen carpet and deep chocolate pools for eyes I fell in love! I told the owners he would make an ideal therapy dog!
1x red heeler Cooper - Hayborough SA - i fully admit he had me rather intimidated when i first arrived as he kept growling at me but once i demonstrated my willingness to throw his ball A LOT, he and I became best buddies and I was sad to leave!
2 kelpie X ( Bella and Charlie) and 1 cat Lola - Greenhill SA - never a dull moment (nor much space to move on the couch!) with these 3 for company! Endless love bombs from 'the girls' ensured i never ever felt alone for the 2x 1 month stints I had up in the hills!
Lola taking refuge from the pooches up on the bench keeping me company while I worked. Read more...
