I am a fit 64 year old male who retired from work 2 years ago. All of my career was in the independent sector: 25 years (and 4 states) in the Lutheran School system, and 15 years at an Anglican College in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. I have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 18. We have always had cats at home, a Tenterfield Terrier for 18 years, lovebirds in an outside aviary and chickens in the garden. Currently we have a 9 year old ragdoll and a 5 year old short hair cat, both rescues at different times. We have enclosed both sides of our house in cat runs, so the cats have limited outside access 24/7. During the day whilst we are home, the cats are allowed in our back yard, and usually we can find them whenever we need them. Milo, the ragdoll, is food motivated, so comes when his biscuits are rattled, and Annie will come to find out why Milo has gone inside! We also have Jessie, our 8 year old Chihuahua grand-dog, who has lived with us since our 18 year old grand-daughter has come to live with us. I grew up in WA and now wish to re-acquaint myself with family and school friends I have not seen for many years. I wish to do family research in the WA State Library so I'm keen to come to Perth for some trips for around 2 weeks duration, give or take a few days. At this stage my wife will remain at home in South Australia, but may wish to join me in future visits to Perth. I am a keen gardener and can capably look after minor chores. Read more...
