More information about this house sitter

A retired professional, I consider myself as a very active and fit "young" lady. After leasing out my own home, I set off on my first house-sit in 2005 and have been doing so ever since. It is a great way to see different places, meet people and make new friends.

Coming from a rural upbringing on broad acres, am used to managing and caring for a wide range of pets and animals, including mustering and handling livestock, generally. I have house sat a wide variety of properties, including rural homesteads with an interesting array of pets and maintained cattle, sheep and goat herds. Among several yearly regulars, I also look after and exercise three Thoroughbred show jumpers annually for a family in the beautiful Adelaide hills.

I have a great affinity with animals - (they do seem to take to me) - and have cared for many different breeds of dogs and cats, some very old and in need of special care. I have house sat regularly for a couple who are Groodle breeders and delivered a puppy litter in their absence.

Am used to living with tank water, bores and pumps, together with experience in operating and driving most vehicle types, including tractors, 4 wd's, light trucks and large hydraulic deck ride-on lawn mowers. At the same time I am equally at home in suburbia and urban environments.

Am a keen gardener and handy with routine maintenance, including swimming pools, (have a salt water, self-chlorinating pool at my own home), mowing lawns, pruning trees, shrubs, growing vegetables and maintaining gardens, generally. Thoroughly enjoy house-sitting and look forward to every new booking.
