Hello.
My kiddo and I just left our lives in New Zealand and moved to Australia. We arrived on the 18th of December and we are house and pet sitting for a lovely family in Clayton South at the moment. My son and I are starting from zero. I am originally from Poland, and lived in NZ for the last 15 years. We visited Australia a few times and loved it.
It is an amazing opportunity to stay somewhere while we are looking around and settling down, but also to help someone else, meet new people and animals. I have Animal Care certificate, I am a massive animal lover, and a "local crazy rescue lady" 😉 (people call me when they find injured critters).
I worked as a care giver for elderly and a cleaner for many years, so you can be sure I am a respectful, tidy and trustworthy person. My son is 13, and he is very gentle and kind young man, who loves animals, biking, swimming and video games.
We could be useful for someone who goes away for holidays and needs someone to look after their pets and home. We will need a room with a place to sleep, as we don't have a camper, and a bathroom.
I am happy to walk your dogs, give them medicine, bath or whatever is needed. Same for any kind of pet. Happy to water your garden and keep things tidy. Happy to report daily, with photos or videos attached.
No drinking, no smoking or a party animal. Can provide any kind of recommendation, or give you a phone number to my latest employer or a landlord etc. I would like to be able to housesit more in the future, because this seems like an amazing way to help around and meet people. I was hoping to be able to housesit while we are exploring the city and hunting for a job and a high school.
