I am one of those "mainlanders" who came to Tasmania for a two week holiday and still here after 2 years.
Originally from Brisbane, I ran away from home when my beautiful daughters now 22 & 21 grew into independent individuals and sent me off to explore my gypsy ways.
I have had some very fun adventures and am meeting new and wonderful people everyday. I love to be helpful and house sitting is definitely a wonderful way to help each other through.
I have had the opportunity to house sit in many beautiful locations, experiencing wonderful pets and farm animals and learning many new skills.
Professionally I have been an interior designer for 18years but in my time in tassie I have been enjoying seasonal work with all sorts of produce and machinery (very different) and of course house sitting.
I take great pride in looking after the homes and pets left in my care.
I love animals and animals all seem to love me. Dogs especially.
I have my own transport and a very flexible schedule to accomodate all necessary daily routines and home maintenance whilst house sitting.
After two years I can now boast maintaining several gardens and bountiful seasonal harvests, happy goats, pigs, cows, horses, geese, chooks, sheep, alpacas, kitty cats and puppy dogs.
I have been most fortunate to receive my opportunities through repeat stays and referrals.
