My husband and I have recently become first time Grandparents and are looking to stay in Melbourne until July.
We thought a great way to accommodate this would be to house/pet sit. Due to family commitments over the past two years we have been living in Melbourne on and off doing just that. We were lucky enough to be able to help out family and friends, some with their house, others with house and pet dilemmas. As all family and friends are staying put in 2018 we thought we would like to help out other people whilst still being able to grandparent and assist our Sons family with their new baby. We are old softies when it comes to animals. We lost our beautiful Labrador baby two and a half years ago and still miss him terribly. We seem to have a beacon attached to us for the lost and found of the animal variety. Having had at least four walk right to our front door looking for their home. All were safely returned to some very, very happy owners. We have looked after numerous dogs, cats and their respective homes as mentioned since early 2015. Chris and I have also cared for sheep, cattle, horses and chooks on 120 acre property in rural Victoria. We are a neat and tidy couple, we love walking and I am an avid gardener. We know how very important it is to feel that your home and pets are in capable, safe and loving hands whilst away from them. I am also fine with pets who may have special needs, medications etc. I have had a lot of experience with such requirements.
Helping out is what it's all about so we are happy to housesit with or without pets.
