More information about this house sitter

Hello,
I'm a recently returned Tasmanian, looking for a gentler life in a more natural environment. Most recently I've lived in New York (in an apartment that sadly couldn't accommodate furry friends!) where I often did pet-sitting, dog-walking and housesitting for people I knew and friends of friends. I'd love to continue that here in Tassie.

It's hard to leave a much loved pet when you travel so I understand the need to find a caring, responsible person you can trust. I'm happy to to feed, exercise, play with your animals, or just spend time with them.

I've cared for elderly animals that require extra patience or special attention, like assistance going up and downstairs, for example. People have entrusted me with animals with behavioural difficulties too - see pic of me with Brooklyn the chihuahua who generally doesn't like close contact. Here he hopped up to my lap to say hi (most unusual) and you'll see I'm not patting him - that's because he's prone to biting!

I'm also willing to look after plants both inside and outside, mow lawns, remove marsupial droppings...whatever you need. :)
