EXPERIENCED FULL-TIME SUNSHINE COAST HOUSE SITTERS WITH REFERENCES. RELIABLE, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN, CARING, PET LOVER. OCCUPATION: DOG TRAINER.

After 7 years house sitting I have extensive experience looking after many pets. Nothing is too big or small. I have a degree in Marine Science and worked in a few Aquariums, Zoos, and Reptile Parks with a range of animals. Dogs are my specialty. I have many references and a complete understanding of homeowners requirements.

I'm sure you are nervous letting a stranger into your house. I know your property is not just your house, its your Home. I understand your pets are probably considered 'family' and that your garden is your sanctuary. I know this because that's the type of environment I grew up in and have always tried to maintain those philosophies wherever I've lived. I'm a true animal lover and want to ensure they stay happy and healthy in the familiar surroundings of their own home. In saying that, if you are a homeowner without pets Im also interested in ensuring your pool and spa work ok whilst you are away. Hahaha. It's good to be able to truly relax knowing your home is in safe hands.

ABOUT SIMON: Im a happy, fit, and energetic father of infant Rosie. Trustworthy, responsible, fun-loving I will give your home and pets the attention they need. I am neat and tidy, and wife Sara will tell me to clean up when I'm not. I'll give your pets all the special care and attention they need including medication and reassurance during thunderstorms. I may even teach them a trick or two, or cure bad behaviour. Recently I taught a 15 year old cat to sit before receiving food. Your pets may get a slightly different routine than yours but they will definitely get the same amount of meals, exercise and mental stimulation so they dont suffer stress when "Mum and Dad" are away. Im equally happy with high energy dogs and lap dogs. And I will respect your house rules if pets are not allowed on the sofa, etc. No dog is too much trouble and as I'm a dog trainer, your dogs will join me on most adventures ensuring they get a lot of exercise and socialisation. I will take care of the animals and outdoor requirements. Sara looks after the indoor requirements ensuring the house is kept clean and accompanying older or smaller, quieter or shy dogs. Sara is a capable dog handler too but also has to attend to our baby.

Rosie was born in July 2019. She's an amazing addition to our family and enjoying lots of new experiences. She's a very quiet and contented baby capable of sleeping through thunderstorms and barking dogs in the same room. Crying is minimal and only occurs briefly when she's hungry so won't disturb neighbours. She can't crawl yet so won't cause any damage to your property and we will cover your sofa etc with our blankets to prevent any little accidents which are extremely rare. We also have a portable play pen for her for when she does learn to crawl so there is no need to worry about your home being baby friendly. We will take responsibility for her behaviour and proximity to your pets to avoid any problems.

We dont smoke and drink very little.

OUR POLICY IS TO TAKE CARE OF PEOPLES' PLACES AS IF THEY WERE OUR OWN; WE GUARANTEE TO LEAVE YOUR PLACE THE WAY WE FOUND IT.

I WILL GLADLY TAKE CARE OF THE FOLLOWING: - Looking after your house - Feeding, grooming and caring for the dog, cat, snakes, birds, fish, etc - Maintaining house security and a human presence in your home - All common house cleaning duties - Garden and lawn maintenance - Forwarding mail, email and phone messages - The occasional odd job.

PEACE OF MIND: I won't disappear for days on end and never commit the Cardinal Sins of house-sitting, Eg. looking for a better place, or changing my mind a week before you go on your dream holiday. Just before Christmas 2012 I had committed to a house-sit in a remote area west of Byron Bay. The day before I was due to arrive, my car broke down. I caught 2 buses, a train, and hitch hiked with 5 rides to get to the destination. I hate to go back on my word. Call, or email me as much as you like while you are away, or send over a neighbour to check on the house. I've made many great friends from house-sitting.

REFERENCES & AGREEMENTS: I am happy to provide both written and verbal references, as well as any police checks. I will gladly engage in any written agreements to ensure we agree on matters such as 'Who pays for what', household requirements and other expectations.

WHY ARE WE HOUSE-SITTING?
We are a new family trying to get our own home. Rental costs make it near impossible to get the required deposit. We are looking for our own house now but still keen to house sit and have tenants pay off our mortgage and also have the flexibility to travel when and where we want. We are usually booked and get paid for housesitting by clients from my dog training business but use this site as every now and then we need to fill in gaps between housesits.

TIME PERIODS. 3-6 months preferred but I have space for shorter. Contact me for my current list of availability.
