More information about this house sitter

Let's start by saying that we are both triple vaxed.
We also should clarify our availability so people won't waste their time enquiring whether we are available for a certain date.
We will finish a house sit near Bundaberg in the first week of January 2023. After that we are looking for long or short term sitting on the Sunshine Coast (Qld) until around April 2023. We are being specific due only to the fact that Peter will be doing some part time work on the Coast during this period.

We are grey nomadic grandparents of 11 grandkids spread around SA, Vic, NSW & Qld. Originally from a rural background, we are reliable, honest and like to think that we have good-old country ethics & values.
Our working careers largely involved administration and managenent roles of both people and facilities, mostly in rural areas, and generally self employed.
In 2007 we took on a seventeen room motel on the Vic/NSW border. After ten years of working 24/7 and growing the business we accepted decided to lease out our motel and retire.
We've been on the road ever since, mixing our travels with a bit of house sitting here & there and watching house prices sky rocket whilst trying to decide where to settle down.
We are reasonably fit and active outdoorsy people and don't take life too seriously.
Due to the limitations that come with travelling with pets we currently have none of our own but are comfortable minding either domestic or farm animals.
We enjoy the nomadic lifestyle that we have chosen but also enjoy stopping in one place for extended periods and being part of a community for a time. House sitting allows us to have this flexibility.
We certainly don't rely on housr sitting nor do we passionately seek out positions. We are happy just to keep rolling along but at times circumstances lend themselves to a house sit or so. Such as Jan to April 2023.
We only ever accept positions that we know we can physically handle in the way that the property owners would expect from us. If we think we would not enjoy a sitting job nor be capable of doing it to the owner's satisfaction we will politely decline. We sincerely believe that house sitting is a two-way deal & everyone needs to be happy at the end of the day - you and us! And your precious pets & plants of course.
We're happy to provide phone numbers of people that we have sat for previously or what's probably better, a face to face chat on Whatsap or similar. Generally we find that a few telephone calls can usually help determine whether both parties are going to feel comfortable with each other.
