Trustworthy, friendly, reliable, non-smoking, retired couple in northwest Tasmania who love and respect people and their pets. We enjoy travelling and having adventures both in our home country and overseas. Though our much loved pets (both cats and dogs) have passed away now, we feel secure in the knowledge of our ability to manage and nurture your special furry friends. Their safety and care, and the security of your home and belongings are our priorities.
We have both had responsible jobs in our respective careers: Jeanette 's last workplace was a 20 year stint as a Community Health social worker in a rural town in Qld: Ian's career involved working in Special Needs and Literacy with primary and high school children. Both of our areas of expertise required patience, humour resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills.
We've been married over 30 years and have 2 adult children who live in Brisbane and London respectively . We are delighted to be grandparents but our grandchildren sadly reside in London.
Our interests include reading/novel writing, attending a book club, gardening, walking, golf, and cooking.
For many years we lived on a small rural property on the Granite Belt, a wine producing region on the border of Qld and NSW, but 18 months ago moved to Tasmania to the beach side town of Burnie to avoid Qld's excessive heat and bushfire danger, and now enjoy the many benefits of life in Tasmania and southern Australia.
