Hello there! My name is Keeta and I am a solo, trustworthy, quiet and caring pet, plant and housesitter. I follow instructions to a T and love the company of all pets, great and small. I am 39 y.o, a part-time at-home worker (remote writing/research/teaching), part-time online uni student and in-between pet/house sitter and traveller.

Post-Covid disruptions and after my 16 year old rescue Husky girl passed away, I decided to wind down my business, renovate a mini campervan and hit the road. I have been out and about exploring the rest of Australia for the past 18 mths, and am now slowly making my way back home to SE QLD. I aim to continue housesitting for the time being, as it allows for plenty of flexible pet company, which I love, and a chance to get a sense of an area whilst I explore more of SE QLD and Northern NSW, finish uni, save for a home and decide on where to settle/buy.

In terms of house sitting, I hope the following will give you more insight into my suitability:

Your Home~ I am respectful of others’ possessions, privacy and space and I always make sure I leave a space as I found it. I am a clean and tidy person and I will keep your home in tiptop condition. I am also pedantic about locking up and closing gates; having grown up on a farm, this is second nature for me. So if your pets are a bit Houdini-ish, or security is a concern, I am your gal! I don’t have visitors or spend the days away from the house whilst housesitting, as I am using the time to focus on study and work and pet company - you can rest assured I will be present.

Your Pets~ Spending my childhood on a farm, I take great joy at being in the presence of all animals and have no issues with daily pet-errands. I have experience with horses, dogs, cats, fish, chickens, geese, ducks, pigs, goats, geese, parrots, snakes, and beehives and I have looked after a motley crew of animals over the years. I am also a beekeeper (top bar). I have volunteered for a number of years as a RSPCA foster carer & trainer as well, so I have experience with the quirks of various dog and cat breeds and I love daily walks and muck abouts as much as any high drive dog. If you have pets, count me in! I stick to the schedules, dietary requirements and other needs you outline for your pet and I make sure they feel loved and comfortable whilst I’m you are away.

Your Gardens/Yard/Pool~ I like a good garden potter, so should you need general maintenance done whilst away, I am happy to take on any watering, mowing and general jobs you require. Pool maintenance is also fine by me.

Your House Sitter ~ If I were your house sitter you would find me easy to deal with, as I have a friendly and approachable nature and I aim to communicate openly. If you leave instructions, my keen attention to detail will mean they are followed to a T. I am a non-smoker and I lead an active, healthy lifestyle. I like heading out for a daily dog walk (or cat, if yours is that way inclined!), , but I’m a homebody due to my remote and online work/study commitments. I use housesits to take a break from travelling and to focus on work/study, and as a result I will mostly be focused on laptop-based research, curriculum writing, tutor marking and uni assignments, with plenty of pet cuddles, walks, and plays being the perfect way to break up the work.

Your Peace of Mind~ I can update you with videos and pics of your pets whilst you are away and you are welcome to check in with me as needed. I am also happy to email or text you a copy of my criminal check. You are welcome to phone or video call me, to get a sense of if I am the right person to house/pet sit for you, and if I am close by, I might be able to drop by too, for an in-person chat.
