Hello everyone, my name is Alexis.

I ran my own pet minding business for 7 years where I did basic dog training, daily walks, feeding, medication, companionship and play. I have  experience owning and caring for dogs, cats, fish, mice/rats, reptiles, chickens, ducks, you name it!

I have a great deal of experience caring for anxious/sensitive pets, reactive dogs, human aggressive animals, dog aggressive dogs, elderly/unwell dogs. All complex behaviours. I have experience walking very large breeds also.  My own rescue dog (now passed) was highly anxious, had separation anxiety, was dog reactive and so I have a strong skill set in taking care of these behaviours. I have taken care of a lot of very anxious/fearful cats. I also have a great deal of experience for managing risk and responding to emergencies such as painful wasp stings, identifying adverse health symptoms, animals ingesting toxins, dogs escaping, separating dog fights, etc. I'm good in an emergency!

About me:

I am warm, empathetic and a kind soul. Caring for and connecting with animals has always been central to my life.  I am single, a non smoker, non drinker/drugs. I have a lot of experience in gardening/horticulture, love photography, writing and spending time immersed in nature. Since my rescue dog Bella has passed I am looking for an opportunity to spend quality time with other peoples fur babies.
I am quiet, house-proud, neat, clean, home is a sanctuary to me.

I consider myself trusting, respectful, dependable with strong initiative and problem solving skills. I have a lot of experience managing gardens and lawns and would love to help out there also.

I have had house sitters at my home so I understand the need to find someone who you can 100% trust and depend on to care for your pet as well as treating your home with respect and dignity. I am happy to draw up a short contract with a list of agreed tasks, jobs and house rules so that we're on the same page. I also have references and police clearance for peace of mind.
