Hi, I’m a full time academic at a university, and I travel extensively for work. Because I travel frequently, it’s not worthwhile renting long term so I’ve been renting in AirBnB from time to time when I’m in the country and it’s been great. I like living in different places and suburbs, and exploring new neighbourhoods, as well as discovering places to eat and do things.

A friend was away travelling and offered his place and when he came back, he was so pleased that I had tidied and cleaned his house. He suggested that I try house sitting and I wondered why I had never thought of it myself! I have never housesit for strangers but many times for friends. I also have great reviews from owners of places I’ve stayed at inAirBnB, and happy to provide screenshots of these reviews on request. I think this is because I own a few properties myself that I rent out so I understand how owners feel about their homes. I’m very respectful of others’ possessions, property and privacy. I will treat your house like my own. I’ve been known to be a tidy freak, and I’m reliable and organised. I don’t smoke.

I have to admit I’m not very good with dogs but cats seem to love me. :-) My work allows me to work from home 3 days a week. I practise yoga, but this information probably isn’t very useful 😁 Read more...
