My husband Michael (51yrs) and I (46yrs) are an Australian non-smoking/non-drinking professional couple who love animals and prefer quite living.
A little bit about us..... Michael works in IT and thanks to COVID now works permanently from home, and I have run my own home-based business for the past 6 years – Merry Puppins Dog Minding, and I also work as a Virtual Assistant/Social Media manager and have just this year started Systematic Trading on the stock market.

Apart from being an IT guru, Michael is also a sound engineer and a handyman. He enjoys movies, gardening, and jogging/running and has competed in events such as the Blackmores Marathon and Syd City2Surf. He also completed the NorthFace100 a few years ago, which was quite an achievement! I am a little bit more low key (AKA nowhere near as fit LOL), but keep myself busy with caring for the dogs and working from home. I also enjoy gardening, reading, music and movies, and consider myself a bit of a “foodie” so love cooking and entertaining.

Why do we house-sit?..... We initially started house-sitting back in June 2012, after selling our own place, mainly to take some time to find the perfect new home; however, we enjoyed the house-sitting so much, especially minding the animals, we continued with it full time until Nov 2014, when we found our new home. After that we did house-sitting when visiting the Sunshine Coast at Christmas time and for other short breaks. Moving into 2021 we will be house-sitting full time again so we can take time to find (or perhaps build) our new perfect forever home….. so exciting!

When house-sitting we respect and care for your home as we would our own, ensuring we leave your home (and pets) thoroughly clean and tidy. We also like to leave a few basic things in the fridge, so you do not have to tackle the shops for your first couple of days back home.
Due in part to this attention to detail and level of care we give our animals, we have acquired a few regular house-sit clients, and we love returning to care for their homes and animals. We take great pride in our record of service and have earned excellent references from all our house-sitting positions. For your peace of mind, along with our references, we provide photo identification and have other character references available upon request. Furthermore, as we are both involved with the Sunday School at our church, we have both had WWCC carried out.
