We are a non smoking, professional energetic mature aged couple (chiropractor, executive assistant, 55+ (hailing from Canada), have lived in Australia for almost 30 years and are easing ourselves into semi retirement. Still working fulltime, but hopefully not for long! We both have our police check clearance and working with children clearance.

Having just sold our home and bought a boat, we plan on spending time out on the waters of East Coast Australia and when not exploring, do some house sitting. We are happy to do short term (even just overnight) or long term and are very flexible with hours.

We are both respectful, neat and tidy people, non-smokers, outdoors orientated, enjoy walking, bike riding, various water sports, camping, the list goes on. Also enjoy puttering in the garden.

Well past the age of clubbing we would much rather put together a nice meal and curl up with a good book or watch a movie on television.

We have had numerous dogs and cats in the past and as we enjoy walking, giving your loved one it’s daily exercise would be a pleasure, not a chore.

By looking after a place as if it were ours, we hope to add to your holiday enjoyment by giving you peace of mind that your home is being cared for in the best possible manner. We bring our own linen/manchester, (mattress protector, sheets, blankets, towels etc) to make handover easy and worry free. Having had a fantastic housesitter ourselves over the past years, we know how great it is to end a holiday by coming back to a home that is in the same condition you left it!

A good house/pet sitter can be hard to find so we we're thrilled to find Charna and Neil. They were amazing with our Labrador and (not so social) cat. They both looked so relaxed and happy when we returned. We got updates and photos, and walked the dog twice a day! They were very clean and easy going. Charna and Neil were wonderful house sitters and looked after Mikki, my Spoodle, kept me informed how she was and took her for walks the whole time I was away.
Even when there was a little glitch with a smoke alarm we worked it out so the neighbours weren't woken up at 2.30 am.
I would love them to house sit for me in the future and would recommend them to others in the area.

Review - Charna and Neil looked after our house and our cocker spaniel Flash for just over two weeks while we were away overseas mid Feb 2018. Both the dog and the house were in top notch condition when we returned home, which was lovely. They also managed a problem when the hot water service failed quickly, efficiently and without any complaints. Their communications were excellent and left us feeling comfortable that our belongings were in good hands. We would recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable, caring couple to house sit.

We were looking for house sitters to care for our 2 dogs whilst we were away overseas for 5 weeks visiting family. We were given the details of Charna and Neil by a neighbour and they agreed to come and meet us and the dogs at our house. At the meeting, I explained that the house was pre-renovation and the biggish dogs were not easy to look after (one a bit naughty and the other with dodgy back legs and slightly incontinent). Charna and Neil were happy to take on the job even after knowing this. Whilst we were away, they kept us updated with the dogs, and survived a heat-wave in our non-air conditioned house. Upon our return, the house was cleaner than it’s ever been and the dogs healthy and happy. In fact, they now demand 2 walks a day as that was what Charna and Neil were giving them! I would not hesitate to recommend them as house sitters; in fact I am already telling all my dog-owning friends about them as people as wonderful as them are in short supply. We are eternally grateful Charna and Neil!

Neil and Charna Mason stayed in our home while we were overseas for 3 weeks in November/December 2017. It was the first time we’d had people home-sit for us, so we were a little apprehensive. As it turned out, our apprehension was totally unnecessary. Overall our experience was an excellent one. Neil and Charna communicated well when we needed to be contacted, but didn’t bother us with trivial stuff. When we returned from our trip, our home was in absolutely impeccable order. In reality it looked much better than when we left it! Neil and Charna are very nice people who looked after our home with great care.
